The WVRA will be providing a health & welfare net on Tuesday, 10/31 in the City of Wausau for Trick-or-Treating. Radio operators will patrol local neighborhoods to provide an “extra set of eyes” to make sure everyone has a fun and safe Halloween.

This operation will be observe and report – do not try to intervene in any situation. That is what local law enforcement is here for. Non-emergency reports should be called in to net control. If an emergency arises, the operator should use his or her cell phone to call 911, then report it to net control.

Net control will also monitor local LEO traffic and report any incidents.

Please let me know if you’re able to help out this year. We’d like to have at least seven mobile operators to effectively cover the city.
