Wisconsin ARES/RACES State Conference

October 21, 2017 @ 08:00 - 16:30

the Wisconsin ARES/RACES Annual Conference/ARRL Convention will be held again in Wisconsin Rapids at the McMillan Public Library on October 21, 2017. If you have not registered, don’t delay….sign-up today!

As always, we are extremely grateful for WeComm, Ltd. We appreciate their continued support and partnership as we present the conference again this year.

Holding a free conference can be challenging, but you can make a difference. How? Sign-up for lunch. Lunch supports a local non-profit. McMillan Public Library greatly appreciates that we are making a difference locally and we want to keep holding the free conference at the library for years to come! Here is what one of last years attendees said about the conference lunch; “Last year the chance to eat at the conference site saved lots of time and provided a chance to meet other ARES people. The price is a bargain!” Gerry L. Please register on-line for lunch by October 13, 2017!

What’s on tap for this year? Presentations on digital from the experts in the field. Sessions will be covering VHF/UHF digital voice modes, HF digital modes, and the linking of analog and digital modes. A digital demo will be operating in the lobby all day!!! But wait, there is even more in store! Check out the entire itinerary on the Wisconsin ARES/RACES website http://www.wi-aresraces.org/

We have exceeded our hotel block for this year (next year we plan to add more rooms). If you need a room at the Hotel Mead in Wisconsin Rapids please contact Kelly Giese (Director of Sales) at k.giese@hotelmead.com. You can also check out the Conference Announcement on the Wisconsin ARES/RACES website which lists other hotels in the area.

Keep in mind the Wisconsin ARES/RACES Conference/ARRL Convention is not just for officers, it is for anyone interested in ARES/RACES. We are relying on you to get the word out. It is important that you please forward this information to all of your members, read it on your nets and let others know who may be interested.

For all the details and to register, go to the Wisconsin ARES/RACES website http://www.wi-aresraces.org/

Thanks for spreading the word! And thanks for everything you do for Wisconsin ARES/RACES!
